High Tide

I’ve been a bit quiet on the blog front, not through lack of making cards though, quite the opposite! I have been busy making items for my first “Onstage” one day event in Perth in a couple of weeks. I am so excited! I’m not entirely sure what to expect but I have been told that its going to be awesome. And I like awesome! So I have been busy making some little items to take with me to use as swaps with others. All will be revealed in a couple of weeks time, but for now its “top secret”. I hope what I have made will be well received.

Today was so windy, it reminded me of the high seas at the beach when its stormy. So I decided to create a card using my high tide stamp set following the instructions from The Serene Stamper. This was my first time playing with this set. I really enjoyed the technique of stamping and masking. A simple process with such a wow factor. I am of course still practicing but I was happy with my first attempt at it.

High Tide Cards

With sponging, no two cards are the same, which really highlights the uniqueness of each card made. I really like the effect of the rocks and the sentiment, which are both heat embossed with the embossing powders. Finished off with some twine and of course a rhinestone for the light in the lighthouse.

High Tide Birthday Card

A perfect card for the males in your life!

High Tide Birthday Wishes

I think I will get a lot of use out of this set. The possibilities are endless. Change the sentiment and you have a totally different card for that someone special.

Let’s hope tomorrow is not as windy as today….but then again those days make perfect crafting days!

Until next time,

Happy Stampin’
