Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop Masculine 2018

Welcome to our first Paper Adventures team blog hop for 2018!

You might have hopped on over from the lovely Kristel Rimmer’s blog and if you have, welcome and thank you for joining us!

This month’s theme is anything masculine. I have to admit, masculine cards are a bit harder than girly ones but I am loving the new “Dad Jokes” stamp set in the new occasions catalogue. This stamp set immediately appealed to me as my Dad always says a couple of the jokes in this stamp set.

It’s my Dad’s birthday this month and I just know this card will make him laugh.

My Dad has always said this joke to me, even still does now, even though he is almost bald!

I used night of navy cardstock as a base for this card, embossed with the simple stripes embossing folder also featured in the new occasions catalogue. I stamped the scissors using night of navy ink on whisper white cardstock, the “Dad joke” was stamped on a scrap piece of night of navy using versamark and heat embossed with white powder.

I stamped on the inside of the card and added some basics pack 3 washi tape to the bottom of the inside of the card to match the front.

Sometimes simple cards are the best. My Dad is a no frills kind of Dad so I think this card is just perfect for his birthday next week!

  1. Yes I’m into the Dad jokes too Mandy….my oldest son has inherited his Dads ability for Dad jokes (who would have thought Dad humour could be inherited? Like, really is there DNA for Dad jokes?). Surrounded by it….love the simplicity and symbolism of the card….didn’t realise there were scissors in the stamp set. Nice work Mandy.
