Colour INKspiration #CI26

Hello and welcome back to my blog.

A couple of weeks ago, I joined in a Colour INKspiration Challenge for the first time. I enjoyed it so much, there was over 60 entries and I was blown away to be voted in the top 5! Overall I came in second. I have to say, I was pretty chuffed to be voted in second. This means that people like my cards! So that is pretty much a win for me!!! If you missed my blog on the last challenge, you can view it here.

It’s all about the greens for this challenge. I have to say, I love these colours! I decided to create a card using the Sale-A-Bration “Amazing You” stamp set. Love love love this set! It has a combination of sentiments and stamped images and it co ordinates with the “Celebrate You” thinlit dies. Both items are FREE during Sale-A-Bration with qualifying sales.

For my card, I used a tranquil tide cardstock base, with whisper white. I stamped the flowers from the Amazing You stamp set in archival black ink, then coloured them in with an aqua painter and Bermuda Bay ink before fussy cutting two flowers. I used some dimensionals to mount these flowers to give the card a more interesting layered look. I added what I call the firework stamp (I don’t know what else to call it lol) behind the flowers in Sahara Sand ink. The leaves were stamped with Emerald Envy using the Painted Harvest stamp set then cut out with the co ordinating leaf punch. I added some extra leaves cut out of vellum for a softer look.

The sentiment I used is from the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set, another FREE stamp set during Sale-A-Bration!

So what do you think? I am starting to enjoy these challenges.

I hope your week has some crafty creative time scheduled and if it doesn’t make sure you change that!
