I can’t believe it is February! Where did January go? It was a busy start to the year for me, entertaining 3 kids on the 7 week school holiday break. I am looking forward to school starting for them on Monday and I finally won’t have to hear the same questions everyday such as “Is it a school day today?” or “What are we going to do today?”
I managed a bit of craft time last week in between the crazy busy school holidays. I was excited to get an order for a 40th birthday card and it gave me the perfect excuse to go and hide in my craft room for a while. So much better than cleaning and decluttering the house!
For this card order, I decided to use the beautiful Floral Romance Suite which caught my eye the moment I saw it in the current Occasions catalogue.
It’s super pretty right? I can see lots of different uses for this suite, birthdays, get well soon, thinking of you, wedding cards, anniversary cards, just to name a few!
The stamp set with the matching dies is a must have in my opinion, although if you prefer you can always buy them separate (but if you purchase them as a bundle you will save 10%). I love the great range of dies especially the edged die, so pretty!
This Designer Series Paper is simply GORGEOUS! Some of the paper is vellum with printed designs on it. Oh my, it is just so divine!
I created a beautiful card using soft sea foam cardstock paired with my favourite pink, blushing bride. I used the gorgeous edge die to create the edge of the card, this is just so delicate and pretty, it really finishes this card off nicely. I used some of that stunning printed vellum dsp on the front of the card. I was a bit naughty and have used a retired product the large number dies but how could I not, this was for a 40th birthday order!
I just love the butterflies from the beauty abounds stamp set. I had to put some butterflies on there somewhere. Fresh fig was the perfect colour for my butterflies to blend in with the beautiful dsp. Turning 40 calls for a celebration and the sentiment I chose for this card was from perennial birthday, cut out using one of the dies from the stitched label framelit dies.
I just had to add a cute flower from the frosted flower embellishments and yes I did have to add some rose metallic thread behind the sentiment because it is simply the prettiest! Some layers of leaves in pear pizzazz and mossy meadow with some blushing bride and vellum flowers peaking through.
I hope the recipient of this card loves it just as much as I do! If you are looking for a special card for that special person or occasion, I would love to make something for you.
Don’t forget some great products are on offer for free during Sale-a-Bration which ends 31 March 2019. All orders over $90 receive a free product as a reward, the more you spend the more free items you get to choose!
My classes will also resume this month so if you are looking for something to do once the kids are back at school, perhaps come along to try one of my classes. I guarantee it will be fun and no prior experience is necessary!
Thanks for stopping by,
