Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop Sketch

Well hello crafty people! Welcome to another Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop. This month we have guest designer Laura Mackie joining us. Welcome Laura, I hope that you have a fun time hopping along with us.

This month’s theme is a sketch. I love using sketch layouts for inspiration, and this sketch is a goodie, a nice simple design.

I needed a card for a friend who celebrated a birthday this week. This friend is the kind of friend I can sing along with, even though I always sing all the wrong words! So a musical card was on my mind using the Music from the Heart Stamp Set in the current mini catalogue.

MUSIC FROM THE HEART PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET

This sketch was just perfect for my card, I used my stamparatus with the hinge technique to create my own designer series paper using the piano and notes and some cute little hearts. The stamparatus made it so easy to ensure I had my stamp lined up correctly and evenly every time I stamped.

I am loving the Black, White and Lovely Lipstick colour combo on this card. I used one of the dies from the Painted Labels Dies cut out in Lovely Lipstick and then stamped some notes, hearts and as my kids call it a “Mrs Treble Clef” on some whisper white card stock and cut with a circle die.

The ‘happy birthday’ sentiment is also from this stamp set and I am totally loving the font! I have stamped with versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder then fussy cut this out. What a stunning finish to this card! I had a little gift to give to this friend too, so what better way to wrap it than to decorate a pizza box so it matches my card.

I know I am going to get loads of use out of this stamp set for the music lovers to my kids music teachers. Who doesn’t love music? In my car you will always find me singing my heart out to the music up loud and quite often singing all the wrong words haha!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, please be sure to click the next button below and see what the rest of the team has made to inspire us. Next up is my lovely friend Sheila. I can’t wait to see what she has made to show us.

Happy Stamping!
