Musical Notecards

Hello! It’s a great time to craft at the moment. When I am not home schooling my three kids (don’t even get me started on this lol), tidying the volcano that my kids make (seriously they are always here and make soooo much mess!), I am crafting. And I must say I am loving the extra time in my craft room. My happy place.

This week called for some little thank you cards. No matter what happens in our days there is always something to be grateful for, am I right? I have been very grateful for the extra work my kids piano teachers have put in to continue their piano lessons online. Not an easy task by any means, it’s always better in person, but they have done a tremendous job putting together videos and online classes. So I decided to send them a little card.

I love using the little note cards and envelopes for quick cute cards. These are a great size especially for sending “just a note”.

For this card I used the Music from the Heart stamp set. This was on my first order when the mini catalogue was released. We are a very musical family (I can belt out some amazing tunes lol) so I knew this was needed for all our music teachers. I love this set paired with Lovely Lipstick, there is something special about black, white and a pop of colour! I am going to miss our lovely lipstick when it retires in June this year. I have been having fun using the retiring in colours lately.

The Be Mine Stitched Framelit dies worked well with this card. I liked the love heart on the grand piano (which I coloured in using my Lovely Lipstick Dark Blend Marker). I fussy cut around the piano and the keyboard. I loved layering these on the lovely lipstick heart with some silver metallic thread behind. The rest of the card is just stamping in memento ink and the mini hearts in Lovely Lipstick.

To finish off this card, I stamped a treble clef inside the card and coloured in the heart. So pretty!

The second teacher thank you card was using the gorgeous birds from Free as a Bird Stamp set. I love this set. Those birds are so cute!

I fussy cut the keyboard and the treble clef on this card, and for a little extra fun, I heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder on black card stock. You might also notice I have some lovely little feathers on this card, they are fussy cut from the Bird Ballard DSP. This time, I used some copper metallic thread as that colour matched my card nicely.

The inside of the card is also stamped with a piano from the Music from my Heart set.

Sometimes all you need is a pretty card and some kind words to show your appreciation. Well done to our lovely piano teachers!

Who knows what creation I will have to show you next!

Stay tuned…
