Who loves Chocolate? Everyone right? Wrong! I am not a fan of the stuff personally but I know a friend who just loves the stuff and when it was her 50th Birthday recently, I knew exactly the card I wanted to make.
So this card just looks like any other card right? Wrong again! This card is more than just a card, this is one of my pop and twist cards using the Nothings Better than bundle.
I really love making these cards, they are fun and a great way to get creative. I used Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider and Whisper white colours for this card with some Champagne foil.
The Stitched Shape Framelits came in handy for the background, this made the writing stand out. I used the adhesive foam sheets to put the number 50 up on dimensionals. So much easier with these sheets! Just stick the foil piece on the foam adhesive sheet and run it through your die cutting machine. Too easy.
I find the Starburst punch comes in handy for these cards, it is just the right size. The sentiment, “Birthdays are the best days” is from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. The word “Chocolate” were cut out using dies from the Nothing’s Better than bundle. I always make sure I place some double sided adhesive tape on the cardstock before I cut out these word dies. This makes it so much easier to stick onto your card. No need to mess about with glue.
The “is Fabulous” stamp is from the dressed to impress stamp set because well let’s face it, 50 is fabulous! I just had to put that on the card somewhere. The cute little chocolates were stamped in Early Espresso and coloured in using light and dark crumb cake blends.
To all the Chocolate lovers, who wouldn’t love this card and gift hamper?
This is such a great set to have in your collection. I love all the different sayings and combinations that you can do. I hope you will consider this set to go on your next wishlist!
