ESAD Farewell Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

It is almost time for our current annual catalogue to retire and with that means some of our favourite stamp sets and supplies must also retire. Today, I am joining my demonstrator friends with the ESAD Farewell Annual Catalogue Blog Hop.

May be an image of text that says 'What is ESAD? ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and is a Facebook group just for Australian and New Zealand Independent Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators. We love what we do and love to share with our customers, friends and blog visitors. We also share what we love in our ESAD Demonstrator community through swaps, challenges, and sharing knowledge, ideas and friendship. We are always there to help and support each other. If you are a Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand and would like more information on joining our group, please contact me via this blog.'

I am sharing a card that we made in our last month’s Social Stamping class. Social Stamping is held on Monday mornings at the Taste of Dalyellup Cafe. I hold these classes shared with my gorgeous friend and upline Kelly Kent, we run alternative fortnights of the sessions. Social Stamping is a fun and relaxed way to get together, chat, craft and uplift each other. Stamping is so much more than stamping for a lot of us. For me, I love the stamping side of things but I treasure the connection and friendships, it really boosts my mood! I love connecting with people and hearing their stories. I think we can learn so much just by listening to each other.

On the retirement list is a blokey favourite of mine, Geared up Garage. I quite often hold onto my male inspired stamp sets after they retire to keep in my stash as there is always a good reason to keep hold of them!

The star of the show with this set in my opinion is the cog wheel die. I have cut this out with silver foil with some double sided adhesive on the back for easy adhering to my card. This saves me getting glue every where!

I have used colours Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Just Jade. A great colour combo paired with the Silver Foil.

I love using background stamping if I am struggling to find any designer series paper to match. Just use what you have and stamp away! All you need is stamps, paper and ink.

The sentiment is cut out using the stitched rectangle dies that are thankfully sticking around for the next annual catalogue – yay! The Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder was used on the Just Jade card stock and I am happy that this product will also be staying for a while longer too.

I love the grungy look to this card, perfect for any car loving guy in your life. I have included two different orientations to this card which gives my Social Stampers a choice of their preferred layout. All the kit pieces are the same just choose your layout. Our Social Stamping Classes also include an envelope to stamp and of course a little stamping on the inside.

If you are local to me and want to come along and try out Social Stamping, we are starting back again week 3 on 3rd May. These sessions are lots of fun and I guarantee you will walk away feeling inspired and with some extra friends. We all need more friends in our life, am I right?

I hope this blog hop has inspired you, using some of our retiring favourites! Don’t forget these retiring items will soon be gone (3 May) so if you are chasing anything that is retiring, don’t delay placing your order. Only available while stocks last!

I can’t wait to see what everyone else has made to show us of their retiring favourites, a full list of the participants is below. Next up is Sue Vine and she always makes something amazing so make sure you check it out. I’m going to grab myself a drink and hop on through and be inspired.

Until next time,

Take care

  1. I completely agree, those cogs truly are the star of that bundle and Geared Garage is such a great set for guys. Love the cards, especially the colour combo you’ve use.

  2. Totally agree about the Geared Up Garage, Mandy – it’s such a fantastic bundle for our masculine recipients. I love your cards (both orientations) – the Just Jade with the Grey works so well. Love those cogs too x
