What lovely colours we have to choose from! What colour is your favourite? I love Mint Macaron….so I am quietly excited for it’s return in the colour revamp!

Because I am so excited to have Mint Macaron back, I have created a beautiful card to share with you on today’s blog hop.

This card was created using a fancy fold I had not tried before. It is called an Open Step Card. I found a fantastic video on how to make this card from another Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Jan Brown, if you would like to view this video for the instructions to make your own Open Step Card please click here.

Being a fancy fold, this card might look hard but honestly it wasn’t. I really enjoyed making this card and I just know you will too!

I have used coordinating Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper with some Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. I used the Layering Oval Framelit Dies and the Stitched Shape Framelit Dies for the middle of the card, the whisper white piece is stamped with the Love What You Do Stamp Set. This is one of my absolute favourites in the catalogue but I have so many favourites! I love that we have many amazing stamps sets available giving me the flexibility and freedom to choose from when designing my cards.

The flowers are coloured in using Rich Razzleberry Dark Blend Marker and if you look closely they are fussy cut out and popped up on a dimensional. This was an idea I stole from the lovely Kelly Kent (I am glad she didn’t mind!) Adding a bit of wink of stella to the flowers, a small pearl embellishment and a silver baker’s twine bow completes this card just nicely.

I hope I have given you some kind of inspiration on the new colour revamp as well perhaps making your own fancy fold card.

Make sure you hop on over to Kelly Kent’s blog to view what amazing creation she has made for us.

  3. Wow Mandy! Such an elegant colourful card. It is beautiful!

Trialling new ways to produce cards is part of the fun (mistakes and all) as there are many ways to create a spectacular card.
The white embossing stands out nicely in amongst all of the poor of colour. Plus a cute fussy cutting.
Great card and I’m sure we will see more of these designed by you
