Social Stamping New Normal

Welcome back to another social stamping blog edition. Not sure if you noticed but I have missed a couple of these recently. Why you might ask? I lost my mojo! I had a few weeks of kids off school and at home sick and I couldn’t bring myself to craft. Have you ever felt like that before? Too many things happening that restrict you from doing what you want to do?

So with a bit of encouragement from some friends, I decided to make myself join in this week and see if that can help me with my lack of mojo!

Our new annual catalogue is now live and is jam packed with some lovely new products! You can view the new annual catalogue online if you click here or if you would like a hard copy sent to you please let me know as I will be happy to post one out to you.

This week’s theme is new (normal). I have decided to use some of my new products that arrived a few weeks ago that I haven’t been able to look at.

The Forever Greenery Suite is a gorgeous place to start! I love nature and this suite reminds me of getting outside and enjoying our surroundings. Something I try to do everyday whether it’s walking the kids to and from school or going for a 5km run around our beautiful suburb.

This suite features some beautiful greenery stamps and gold circle hoops. I have attached the hoop using some glue dots. There are 2 small, thin embossing folders that come in a pack and I have used one of them on some whisper white card stock.

I have used some gold leaves from the Forever Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper and layered some stamped leaves in Pretty Peacock ink and some die cut leaves in Soft Sea Foam. Finished off with a bow using the metallic twine from the Forever Greenery trim combo pack. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips stamp set heat embossed on some pretty peacock card with white embossing powder.

Did you notice that I did some background stamping on the card front? I used some pretty peacock ink and a leaf stamp from the set. I also added some leaves stamped on the inside of my card.

I hope you liked my card today using some new products. If you haven’t already make sure that you check out the new catalogue, it doesn’t take long for a wishlist to grow! If you want to place an order for any products, be sure to use the June host code T3F9VUHG.

I hope to recommence my classes later this month, fingers crossed for me that ideas continue to flow…

Next up is Richelle Fletcher, I can’t wait to see what she has made to show us. If you want to see the list of all the participants, click on the header at the top of this post.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I might just get some time to craft in between looking after two snotty sick kids!

Mandy x

  1. Such a lovely card – you’d never be able to tell from your gorgeous creations that they are causing you a little struggle. It happens to all of us, and it passes! Keep making beautiful cards, I always love to see your creations. Kelly x

  2. Pretty sure from the looks of this that your mojo is just FINE, Mandy! But this is a weird time and I think we’ve all run the gauntlet of all possible emotions the last few months. I hope you can get lots of crafty therapy in and produce lots more gorgeous creations like this. I love the simple colour palette and all the texture you’ve created here. Beautiful card. 🙂 Siobhan.
