If you are more of a visual person like me, watch the video below showcasing all the pretty papers. Now who can resist pretty paper and better still, pretty paper on sale? Not me! I want it all!

I have made a card today that I recently made for my July card class. My card is created using the Wood Textures DSP. Love this DSP, so versatile, can be used for male or female cards.

Today’s card teamed up with the Jar of Love stamp set and dies creates a very feminine card. I am not sure what this type of fold is even called…if anyone knows please tell me! I guess it might be a variation of a gate fold card.

To make this card I used a sheet of A4 cardstock in crumb cake, cut it in half measuring 4 1/8 inch. I then trimmed the length slightly to 11 5/8 inch. Scored at 3 7/8 inch and 1 7/8 inch from each end. That’s it! Too easy. Then just decorate as desired.

I used two different papers out of the Wood Textures DSP to make these cards. I actually love the darker DSP. Makes the card look more rustic I think. The colours of the Jar of Love set really make a beautiful contrast. I used Lovely Lipstick for the flowers and Shaded Spruce for the leaves. I stamped off some of the ink to create the look I wanted.

The sentiment “Happy Birthday” is from the Lemon Zest stamp set. I love the size and font of this stamp. I added some pearls for that extra bit of embellishment and a pearlised doiley too! Love, love, love! Did you also see the cute little bow around the jar? That is a stamp from the Jar of Love stamp set that I have stamped using versamark ink and heat embossed white powder. Cute!

  1. Stunning cards, Mandy. I love the wood textures DSP and just adore how your cards showcase this paper perfectly. Love the colour combination you have chosen, looks amazing against the neutrals of the wood. Jar of Love teamed with Wood textures DSP – genius! Thanks for the inspiration, Mandy xx

  2. LOVE these!! You sure are getting into the fancy folds – I’m going to start expecting them every time mwah ha ha. These are so pretty. I’ve really neglected my wood paper, this shows how it can look so soft and feminine as well, not just for blokey cards. Gorgeous work as always, my friend.

  5. Hey Mandy, love how you made such a gorgeous feminine card with the wood DSP. I must admit I have only used it for masculine cards and fences etc. until now but that will change! Thanks for the inspiration 😚
