Social Stamping In Colours

Hello! Welcome to another Social Stamping Blog Hop with this month’s theme being the 2019-2021 In colours. Each year there are 5 new in colours introduced which means that 5 colours must retire.

So we must soon say goodbye to Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray and Purple Posy.

Seaside Spray for me was a favourite. Being a lover of blue, I will miss my favourite Seaside Spray. Today I have made two cards to show you making my favourite Seaside Spray be the star of the show!

I love easel cards, they’re so easy yet so effective and a lovely display in anyone’s home. This card uses the Jar of Flowers stamp set and punch which I am glad to say will be sticking around in the new soon to be released annual catalogue. If you want to get your hands on a copy, please get in touch with me and I will send a copy to you.

I have used Seaside Spray ink to do a background stamping of flowers, layered a piece of white cardstock cut with a Rectangular Stitched Framelit and embossed with the Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder.

I used colours Rococo Rose (also a retiring in colour), Seaside Spray, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate and Just Jade blends to colour my bouquet of flowers.

For the sunflower card option, I used Daffodil Delight, Cinnamon Cider, Mossy Meadow, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink.

A stitched heart die from the Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies (sadly are on the retirement list) was used for the stopper on the inside of the card to make the easel card stand up.

Some linen thread and a happy birthday sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set completes these two beautiful cards. I would love to know which option is your favourite. I would normally choose the first card option with the Rococo Rose flowers but this time I am really loving the sunflowers! So happy and bright!

I will miss my dear old seaside spray, I have seen the new in colours for 2021-2023 and they’re just gorgeous! Sadly no blue to replace my seaside spray but regardless there is always another favourite to adapt to!

Don’t forget the retirement list is out now and if you want to grab any retiring items make sure you don’t delay as they are only while stocks last. You can shop with me if you visit stampinup.com.au, click on Find a Demonstrator and enter my name, Mandy Depiazzi. This will ensure that you are shopping with me. There are lots of retiring goodies to choose from!

  3. How amazing that you an Julia had the same thought! I love both versions, and yes they are quite different. Love your background tone on tone stamping which adds another dimension to set the stage for your vases. Seaside spray is such a beautiful blue I hope it comes back one day.
